Last night I tweeted that someone had sent me some fifthly images and that I would name them this morning. Well, that person was friend of the site Engage Sports Mode and this is what he sent!
Dirty thing! Well actually, in environmental terms, it’s very clean because this is a 4.0 litre twin-turbo charged HYBRID! When fossils and electrons work together it generates the best part of 700 horsepower, 800 lb-ft of torque. That will rocket you along to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and on to 187 mph top speed. All while emitting a Congestion Charge exempt 59 grams of CO2 per kilometre and achieving 113 mpg.
Madness! German Madness!
It’s a concept at this point, but Audi have been playing with the Quattro Concept for about 3 years and given the engineering that’s brought it this far, it’s safe to assume that a limited run (probably all Left hand drive) will be made for a rather expensive £130,000 to £150,000. This drive train is probably a sound indication of where the next R8 will go power wise, or it may be stuffed in to the rumoured R10. As for the styling, well, I did say the A5 is due a new look.
