Bump, an app for transferring pictures and video between devices and PCs has been bought by Google.

Bump was one of the first apps to allow pictures and contacts to be wirelessly transferred between iPhones and has been a stalwart of the App Store since it launched.

Now in the same week that iOS 7 launches with AirDrop that does the same thing at an OS level, it seems like a good time to cash out and let Android gain the same functionality.

(Note: If you haven’t used Bump’s website on a computer and app together to transfer files, do your self a favour and give it ago. It’s quite novel!)
